A coach is someone who tells you what you don't want to hear, who has you see what you don't
want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be. — Tom Landry

Colleen Holt is gifted in her ability to bring innovative creativity, act as a catalyst, and reveal the potential of visions and projects while supporting them through to fruition. Her career in coaching began early on as one of Carlsbad High’s specially selected peer counselors after rigorous training in a multitude of teen programs.

After graduating cum laude from CSU, Sacramento with a degree in psychology, she spent 11 years as a special educator, assistant behavior consultant, special needs advocate, and mentor to countless students and educational teams. Her extensive experience in multiple educational settings, both public and non-public, allows her to collaborate with educators to develop personalized programs for students with 100% success rate. In 2005, she was the first ever state-approved life coach and trainer for families of the disabled via California’s statewide Regional Center system.

Colleen undertook extensive coach training in both interpersonal and organizational coaching through the Academy for Coaching Excellence, an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited institution. She has her coaching certification and is a member of the ICF, the Sacramento Coaches Association, and Plexus Institute which studies complexity science and positive deviance.

Since 2005, Colleen has held her own private practice, Illuminated Life Coaching serving: students, educators, private contractors, young professionals, non-profit programs, individuals involved in the creative and healing arts, and those cultivating their spiritual development. She has given speaking engagements to women’s groups, professional mom’s network group, and non-profit organizations and plans to do many more seminars geared to various audiences. Her international practice provides personal, group, organizational, and educational leadership coaching and training. She currently works with a collective network of coaches worldwide.

“It has been demonstrated through the ages that what we can do together is far more than we could ever achieve single-handedly and now more than ever, we are in need of creative collaboration.”
