want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be. — Tom Landry

Karen Harvey, CEC, is a certified life coach whose passion is helping women create positive changes in their lives, both personally and professionally, resulting in more balance, fulfillment, and satisfaction.

She specializes in working with mothers of younger children, including those who are also in business for themselves. She is the life coach for the Sacramento Bee’s SacMomsClub website, offering insights and weekly assignments to readers through her column. She regularly speaks to mothers’ groups on life balance, effective parenting, and the importance of self-care.

As a small business coach, Karen conducts classes and workshops on topics including time management, business building, internal motivational, personality types, and the impact of personality on leadership and teamwork. She is currently an instructor for SEDCorp’s “Business Boot Camps” throughout northern California, and she speaks regularly to business and networking groups in the Sacramento area. Corporate work includes facilitating a national teleclass for the Baby Signs organization, teaching a lunch-and-learn program for Intel, and leading a management offsite training for EMAssist. She helps solopreneurs set effective business and personal goals, integrating work/life balance while more efficiently running a business.

Karen received her BA in Psychology from Pomona College, and her coaching certification from the Institute of Professional Empowerment Coaching, an ICF accredited school. She offers a one-hour complimentary coaching session to anyone interested in exploring the benefits of working with a coach.
