To get the most out of your membership, join a committee. The Sacramento Coaches Association exists because of the dedication of volunteers who serve on the Board and Committees. Because coaches tend to be good collaborators and contributors, you’ll not only learn, grow and meet some very interesting people, but you’ll have fun too! Although we really appreciate our Committee Chairs, there is also room for being a member of a Committee- as there are many jobs, big and small and each person’s contributions matter.
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Committees: Standing and Ad Hoc
Our President, Machen MacDonald, appoints committees either standing or ad hoc, in order to further the goals and purposes of the chapter. The establishment of any committee must first receive majority approval of the board. Standing committees will include membership, professional development and activities.
Membership Committee: Chaired by Pamela Alexandra
The membership chair and committee members happily take care of our members: accepting and verifying member applications, welcoming new members in timely fashion, keeping the Board informed of new memberships, updating member records, including payment of dues, and most importantly, greeting members at meetings, answering questions and leading membership drives. If you like meeting coaches and have a knack for enrolling others, this is the committee for you.
Professional Development Committee: Open Position; Duties Shared by Board Members
The professional development chair and committee members plan and facilitate the member general meetings, educational workshops for members and conduct an annual needs assessment of all members. If you have a passion for learning and being on the innovative edge of the coaching profession, you will love serving on this committee.
Activities /Public Relations Committee Chair: Looking for Chair and Members
The activities/PR chair, with committee members, plans and coordinates events that are open to the public and/or for the education of the public about coaching. We are looking for a few good coaches who can help create the buzz about Sacramento Coaches and the coaching profession.
Website Committee: Chaired by Janice Knight
The website chair, with committee members, and our professional graphic/web designer, Phyllis Orzalli, ensures a functioning, compelling website that attracts prospective clients, engages coaches and helps the Sacramento Coaches Association become known as the premiere source for professional coaches. If you have a marketing mind and techie fingers and/or you love to write, we encourage you to join this committee. A videographer would be good too!
Please call one of our Committee Chairs or President today, to find out how you might help.
